Murchie’s is proud to offer this line of beautiful Polish Pottery.
Great as a gift or as the centerpiece to your afternoon tea, Polish Pottery is known for its beauty, durability and craftsmanship.
Also known as Boleslawiec, Bunzlau or Bunzlauer pottery, this high quality and durable pottery has a history dating back to the early 14th century. Created in the Silesia region of Poland, from the area’s natural deposits of high grade clay, which is perfect for stoneware and fine pottery.
Hand crafted with pride in small factories in Poland, each piece is hand painted by local artisans. Using sponge stamps and brushes to paint each piece, highly trained craftsmen create beautiful and timeless patterns in traditional folk art styles for your viewing and serving pleasure.
Whatever your preference: serving and displaying your Polish Pottery at special occasions or enjoying it every day - your Polish Stoneware will last for years. It is very durable, oven, microwave and dishwasher safe. Boleslawiec Stoneware is lead and cadmium free, and only natural and ecological materials are used in the production process. Thanks to a special glaze and very high firing temperatures - in excess of 1250 C, Polish Pottery is also chip and scratch resistant, so it will retain its beauty for years to come.
