Milder than most black teas, they can be described as fresh, light, grassy or slightly sweet. Green tea leaves are not fermented like black tea, but steamed prior to rolling, then fired to dry. Most green teas originate from Japan (Sencha, Gyokuro, Hojicha), and China (Gunpowder, Chunmee, Young Hyson). Green tea is now recognized by Health Canada as a source of antioxidants for the maintenance of good health.

Murchie's Chun Mee Tea is an eyebrow shaped green tea that has a unique flavour profile; a smooth tasting green tea with a subtle lingering aftertaste which can be described as plum-like and lightly vegetal.
Murchie's highest grade of Gunpowder, Gunpowder Extra Choice Pinhead Tea is named because of the way it looks: green tea leaves are hand twisted and rolled into tight balls. Mild, slightly smoky and vegetal.
Murchie's Gunpowder Organic tea is a true organic green tea, this gunpowder tea produces a mild, green cup with extraordinary flavour and aroma. More loosely rolled in appearance than other grades of gunpowder.
