Milder than most black teas, they can be described as fresh, light, grassy or slightly sweet. Green tea leaves are not fermented like black tea, but steamed prior to rolling, then fired to dry. Most green teas originate from Japan (Sencha, Gyokuro, Hojicha), and China (Gunpowder, Chunmee, Young Hyson). Green tea is now recognized by Health Canada as a source of antioxidants for the maintenance of good health.

Murchie's Dragonwell 'Lung Ching' Tea is named after the village of its origin, where a dragon guards the community well. It has a flat, yellow-green dry leaf and brews a tea that is light and sweet, with grassy, chestnut notes.
Slightly sweet and smoky, Murchie's Gunpowder Extra Choice Tea takes its name from the appearance of its tightly hand-rolled leaves, as well as the faint cracking said to be heard as the leaves unfurl in water.
Murchie's Gunpowder Organic tea is a true organic green tea, this gunpowder tea produces a mild, green cup with extraordinary flavour and aroma. More loosely rolled in appearance than other grades of gunpowder.
Murchie's Jasmine Downy Pearls - Long leaves of spring-picked green tea are scented with jasmine blossoms and then meticulously rolled into compact pearls. As they steep, these pearls unravel and produce a mellow, honey and jasmine flavour.
