A light brew that is delicately flavoured, this tea is easy to drink, and refreshing hot or cold. Like all white teas, it shouldn't need sweetener or milk – they will just overpower the subtle qualities of the brew
The tea base is actually a combination of Bai Mu Dan white tea (aka White Peony, Pai Mu Tan, or White Mutan) and green sencha – both from China. White teas are not oxidized or de-enzymed (heated by pan-firing or steaming) – they are the least processed of all teas, basically left to dry with as little handling as possible. The delicate first two leaves and bud of the tea plant are plucked to create Bai Mu Dan white tea.
