Blended in honour of Her Royal Highness Princess Charlotte of Cambridge - and princesses everywhere!

Sweet raspberries and delicate roses lead the way in this smooth blend. It is light, fruity and floral, with a strong rose component and a hint of bergamot, decorated with rose petals and pink and white cornflowers.

Enduringly charming, and eminently lady-like.

Excellent  Review by  Tea Leaf Project

This is a lovely fruity tea. It isnt super floral which I appreciate. All the flavors are well balanced, I get a hit of bergamot with the raspberry and then just a whisper of floral at the back end. This is a nice afternoon tea and works well with a bit of milk added. I do wish that the ingredients were on the package though.

All-time favourite tea!  Review by  Vicky

This is such a beautiful tea. Really great first thing in the morning to wake me up with refreshing hints of floral. So much so that I keep ordering it and paying an extortionate amount for shipping after I've moved away from Canada! You will not regret trying this out!

Delicate Perfection  Review by  Megan Isabella

I cannot get enough of this beautiful and delicious blend. I am generally not as fond of more floral sorts of blends, such as Earl or Lady Grey, but while I was in Victoria last summer I thought I'd give this a try. I remember waking up the morning after I first tried it and feeling an exciting sense of anticipation for something that would happen that day--I soon realized it was making another cup of Princess Blend tea that I was so very eager to get to again! It is a perfect balance of delicate but strong black teas with sweet but intense rose and raspberry additions, refined and feminine. I highly recommend this tea!

Tea fit for a Princess  Review by  Stephanie

I bought this tea on a recent trip to Canada. Bought it originally for the name,I'll be rebuying because of the taste. This tea not only smells amazing but tastes amazing as well. I've enjoyed it both hot and cold. It's very floral and fruity, and just a lovely tea. A bit of sugar really brings out the Rose and raspberry flavors.

True Delight!  Review by  Gail

Though first skeptical, I was quickly and (completely) won over by Murchie's "Princess Blend" tea. It is soothing, refreshing, uplifting, sophisticated, charming, classy, a bit playful and surprising and delightfully delicious, whether served hot or iced. (Note: A touch of honey or other sweetener helps to release the luscious bouquet of subtle flavors.) Everyone to whom I have served this tea, has thoroughly enjoyed it and has asked me where it can be purchased. I certainly hope that more folks both in Canada and in the U.S. will find their way to Murchie's online store to try this elixir. I hope that, as a result, positive reviews of this tea will follow.

My new favorite morning tea!  Review by  Las Vegas

I'm not a huge fan of Black tea, but I bought this one because of the smell. It smells beautiful. It tastes even better. I've used it for multiple brewings. Will order again!

Fragrant and beautiful  Review by  Lily - Murchie's Team Member

This beautiful tea blend is just as lovely to look at as it is to taste and to smell. It evokes all senses as the Fragrant Roses and sweet raspberries join in the harmonious union of this delightful blend. It is very lady-like and can make anyone feel like a princess. It is delicious on its own or with cream as an afternoon treat.

Flavour Profile Guide

Tea and coffee tasting is a very individual, multi-dimensional experience: one person’s perfect cup can be too strong or weak, too brisk or watery for the next person. At Murchie’s, we believe that the best tea or coffee is the one that YOU like the best! We use the following flavour profile guides to help compare our teas and coffees within a relative scale.

Tea Strength Ratings

This rating method indicates the strength of flavour each tea has when brewed according to our brewing guide.

RATING

RATING PROFILE
Light/Delicate Tea | Murchie's Tea & Coffee              Light/Delicate: Very light in colour and delicate in flavour
Medium Tea | Murchie's Tea & Coffee              Medium: Medium-light cup with slightly fuller cup
Medium-Strong Tea | Murchie's Tea & Coffee              Medium-Strong: Medium-dark cup, medium body, and full flavour without harshness
Strong Tea | Murchie's Tea & Coffee              Strong: Full body, rich cup, takes milk well
Very Strong Tea | Murchie's Tea & Coffee               Very Strong: Rich, dark cup with very full, strong flavour and briskness

Coffee Ratings

We rate the flavour properties of our coffees along two dimensions: roast and body.

Roast is simply a result of how long and how hot the beans have been roasted, which can be seen in the colour of the finished bean, and typically results in general flavour traits:

Light Roast           More acidity, brightness and a slight pucker
Medium Roast           Slightly richer flavours, some acidity, enhanced creaminess
Dark Roast           Distinctive roasted flavour, sometimes notes of toasted sugar or charcoal

Body is the term used to describe how the brewed coffee feels in your mouth:

Light Body           Easy to drink with little lingering flavour, ‘thin’ or ‘clean’ feeling on the palate
Medium Body           Heavier, creamier mouth-feel with more lingering flavour
Full Body           Rich, full-mouth feeling: hits all of the palate and lingers

Tea Brewing Guide

Different types of teas should be brewed according to certain times and water temperatures to bring out their best flavours. Use this guide as a starting point, and then experiment until you find the perfect brewing method for your favourite tea.

Based on approximately one level teaspoon (2.5g) of loose tea or one tea bag per 6-8 ounce (180-240ml) cup. For stronger flavour, add more tea. Brewing for longer may increase the strength of the tea, but will likely also cause bitterness.

Brew times shown in minutes.

Coffee Brewing Guide

The simplest methods for brewing coffee are drip coffee, pour over and French press. These guidelines are a starting point; modify the ratio of coffee to water, the grind, and brewing time to your taste. If your coffee is not strong enough, increase the proportion of coffee per cup of water, grind the beans finer, or allow them to brew longer – or any combination of these factors. If your coffee is too strong, simply do the opposite.

Drip coffee or pour over method: hot water is gradually poured over coffee grounds and slowly drips through

  • Fine to medium grind coffee
  • 1.5 to 2.5 tablespoons of coffee per cup of water
French press: coffee grounds are ‘steeped’ in hot water, and then a filter presses down the grounds, allowing the finished coffee to be poured off
  • Coarse grind coffee
  • 1 to 1.5 tablespoons of coffee per cup (e.g. 4-6 tbsp for a 4-cup French press)
  • Pour about 1/3 of the water over the coffee grinds; wait about 30 seconds and then pour in the rest
  • Wait 4-5 minutes, then push down the plunger to separate the grounds from finished coffee, and enjoy!
